Training course for Island residents
Recognising and tackling abuse is the focus of a training programme this week (28th-29th Sept).
Speakers from the Emerge scheme, which has been running in the USA since 1977, are visiting the Island to educate charities, service professionals and the general public on the subject.
Organisers say abuse can take many forms, and is an issue which society as a whole should face up to.
