Forest and glen warning from DEFA
Avoid our Island's forests and glens this weekend, and if you do pay them a visit, exercise caution.
That's the message from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, which has issued a warning as Storm Isha moves towards the Island.
In a post on social media, a spokesperson said: "The wind arriving will unfortunately see the end of the crisp winter weather we've been having.
"These strong gales are expected to continue throughout the week.
"These winds could cause some damage to trees, which could be as minor as a broken branch or as severe as uprooted trees.
"We strongly advise exercising caution if you are planning on using the forests and glens during the time."
They added: "Our team will be carrying out routine inspections in the following days to check that our most popular routes are unaffected.
"In the meantime, please take extra care and beware of trees which may have incurred some damage during the winds."
