Very low temperatures have led to record high energy demands in the Isle of Man this week.
As the mercury dropped below zero on Monday night, the Manx Electricity Authority met its highest ever peak electricity output of 92.08 Megawatts.
And, with the cold weather continuing, Manx Gas had its biggest ever day in terms of natural gas supplied to the Island.
Apart from meeting huge local needs, the MEA utilised spare capacity to sell close to 60 megawatts to the United Kingdom, at peak times, through the undersea cable.
Managing director of Manx Gas Alan Bates says it has been a big success for his company, but it's hard to predict if there's more to come:
