Road repairs must meet Infrastructure standard
All road repairs carried out by utilities on the Island have to meet Department of Infrastructure standards.
Manx Utilities chair Dr Alex Allinson made the comment in reaction to a consultation launched in England, which proposes companies have to fix potholes which emerge within five years of a work scheme.
There's currently a two year guarantee.
Dr Allinson says the utility landscape on the Isle of Man doesn't compare to the situation in England:
