Rollout of Pfizer BioNtech jab to start in New Year
The health minister says lists of who's set to receive the Pfizer BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine next month are 'ready to go'.
This registration and consent process is underway according to David Ashford, ahead of the rollout on 4 January.
It had been due to start this week (21 Dec), but issues to do with logistics, protocols for handling and mixing, as well as indemnity, had yet to be resolved.
Mr Ashford says all this and the upcoming festive break meant delaying until the New Year was a sensible move:
