Ramsey Cricket Club’s pitch at Ramsey Grammar School was torn up at some time over the last week, causing around £4,000 worth of damage.
The incident comes just a week before the start of the cricket season, meaning the club might have to play elsewhere while the damage is repaired.
Olly Webster is captain of the first team.
