Claire moved here in 1945 and will turn 100 this month
In celebration of VE Day yesterday, a family in Douglas dressed as a soldier, nurse and evacuees to wish Claire Shimmin a very happy birthday.
Ms Shimmin came to the Island in 1945, and later this month she will turn 100.
David East, who wished her a happy birthday from a safe distance, says it's important to remember what happened all those years ago:
