First ever Laxey Vegan Festival
There's a celebration of all things cruelty-free in the east of the Island this afternoon (Sat).
The first ever Laxey Vegan Festival is taking place in the village between 2 and 11pm.
Live music and ethically-sourced food and drink will be available all day at the village's Working Men's Institute.
Admission is free.
One of the organisers, self-styled 'reformed carnivore' Grant Fisher, says it's a far cry from the militancy all too often associated with veganism:
