Arizona Devine Watterson has been found not guilty of murder.
The jury instead found the 28 year-old Douglas woman guilty of the manslaughter of William 'Billy' Mr Rogers, also 28, following an incident at her flat in the town's Clifton Terrace in March last year.
The jurors, four women and eight men, took around 90 minutes to reach their verdict.
Throughout Miss Watterson's two week trial the defence insisted Mr Rogers received a fatal wound to his heart when he stumbled onto a ceremonial dagger as the pair were play-fighting.
The court is due to resume at 2.15pm, when sentencing will be discussed.
