The preparations have been finalised as a town in the Isle of Man prepares to honour its namesake.
HMS Ramsey is due to arrive alongside Victoria Pier in Douglas at lunchtime today (Friday), ahead of a ceremony tomorrow to confer the Freedom of Entry on the ship at Ramsey Town Hall.
Before that, there will be conducted tours of the vessel for groups of students from local schools this afternoon, and the senior officer, Lieutenant Commander Steve Brown, will pay an official call on the Lieutenant Governor at Government House.
This evening, the commander and his officers will host a cocktail party for invited guests on board the ship.
