Dog owners on the Island are being warned to be on the lookout for signs of a new illness which could affect their pet.
Seasonal Canine Illness is a little understood condition which in recent years has been making a number of dogs ill after they have been walking in woodlands.
Cases are usually seen from August to November.
Vet Carl Bovenizer from Arg Beiynn veterinary practice says whilst people shouldn't be unduly alarmed and animals respond well to treatment, he believes the condition is being seen over here.
He says dog owners should keep their eyes open for the symptoms.
