Staff at a primary school in Castletown are celebrating an extraordinary milestone this morning (7 May).
Carol Stevens, Victoria Road School's educational support officer and lunchtime ancillary, is marking 50 years of service.
The school's executive headteacher Natalie Johnstone, says since joining, Carol has played an integral role in the school, supporting generations of pupils, families and colleagues.
“Carol’s 50 years of service to Victoria Road Primary School is a truly remarkable achievement.
"Her care, commitment and unwavering dedication has touched the lives of countless children and families over the years.
"She has been a constant source of support and kindness within our school community, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this very special milestone with her.
"Many former pupils and families continue to remember her fondly, a testament to the lasting difference she has made in so many lives."
To mark the occasion, this morning the school celebrated in honour of Carol’s achievements and for her outstanding service.
