Metal detectorists first discovered brooches in 2018
Four pieces of Viking age jewellery discovered on the Isle of Man, have been officially dubbed treasure.
Metal detectorists John Crowe and Craig Evans first found the items in late 2018.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes made the declaration at Douglas Courthouse this afternoon.
The collection includes two decorated oval brooches dating to around AD 900-950.
Manx National Heritage says they would have been "worn by a woman of some status".
It adds that finds like these help to keep a record of the Island's rich Viking heritage.
