Claims there could be practical considerations
The government has promised a review into the sale of Manx produced food and drink at its outlets.
The move comes after criticism that locally-brewed beers are not served at the Villa Marina - a government-funded venue.
The matter has been raised in the House of Keys this week, during a debate on the value to the Manx economy of spending with local suppliers.
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says he wants to see Manx ales stocked at the Villa - although there may be a reason why they haven't been until now:
