33-year-old shoved a table towards door staff at 1886
A visiting contractor has been fined £900 after being drunk and disorderly at a nightclub in Douglas.
Stephen Lewis Roberts, currently residing at Hutchinson Square, was seen shoving a table towards door staff at 1886 at around 10:20pm on 2 March.
The 33-year-old was ejected from the bar but 'continued being aggressive' alongside two other men.
Magistrates heard all three men are on Island due to a long-term construction contract and had been out watching football.
At Douglas Courthouse Roberts' advocate told the court: "In his words, he was 'just being a bit of a prat' - there was no malice to it."
Fining Roberts, and ordering him to pay prosecution costs of £125, Magistrates told him: “This kind of behaviour from those visiting the Island is unwelcome."
