Restrictions will be in place for at least two weeks
Visiting is being suspended at the Island's hospitals with immediate effect and another ward is being opened as a Covid ward at Noble's.
Manx Care says it's due to the current level of community spread of Covid-19, increases in the number of patients with it in hospital and limits on available staff.
It applies to Noble's Hospital, Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital and Manannan Court for an initial two week period.
Visits will still be permitted in exceptional circumstances, like patients receiving end of life care, but precautions must be taken.
In addition, Ward 11 will be opened as another Covid ward alongside Ward 12.
Manx Care CEO Teresa Cope says she understands it's difficult for patients, friends and family, and they'll be regularly reviewing the situation.
All Covid restrictions outside of health settings are due to be dropped from Friday 1 April.
