Students can take vocational route
Skill-based qualifications such as B-TECs are classed as the 'golden standard' in certain industries, according to the University College Isle of Man.
It comes as hundreds of students on the Island are receiving their GCSE results today.
Many will now go on to enter the world of work, or continue their education by studying A-Levels.
