
A potentially life-saving initiative could soon be set up in the south of the Island.
A public meeting will be held at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey in Port St Mary a week tonight, in a bid to recruit volunteers for a neighbourhood 'first responder' scheme.
It’s being run by St John Ambulance in partnership with ambulance trusts in the United Kingdom. A similar scheme has already proved successful in Ramsey.
