It had previously been hoped Tynwald would consider the plans in June
Treasury says it's 'very unlikely' a Tynwald vote on funding for the replacement for Castle Rushen High School will take place during this administration.
Senior figures from the department were asked about progress on the project during an appearance before the Public Accounts Committee.
It had previously been hoped the vote would take place at June's sitting, but Treasury Minister Chris Thomas confirmed it's now likely to be a decision for after the election.
He told the committee work on the cost is ongoing:

'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
