Issue should be government priority
Getting people back on the voting register should be a key priority for government - that's according to Douglas Council Leader David Christian.
Latest figures show 12,000 fewer people are on the voters list in comparison to the previous quarterly register.
There are both local authority and general elections taking place on the Island next year.
Mr Christian has warned of a worryingly low turnout unless something is done:
