There's a chance to see an array of the Island's most glittering Christmas trees in Douglas today (Sun)
W.I groups have been vying to create the sparkliest tree, in a festive contest to round-off their Diamond Jubileee Year.
This afternoon the 32 trees will be auctioned for charity by the President of Tywnald Noel Cringle.
The event called Razzle Dazzle at the Villa arcade also features a unique ice cave made from knitted white plastic bags.
The plastic yarn is known as 'plarn' according to Pat Jones of the Isle of Man Federation of Women's Institutes:
The auction is at 4pm in the Wurlitzer room of the Villa Marina arcade.
