UK average currently 22 weeks in what marks record high
The waiting time for a car or motorcycle test in the Isle of Man currently stands at between five and six weeks.
The figure, which was provided to Manx Radio by the DoI, is in stark contrast to the UK where the average wait time is around 22 weeks.
When it comes to HGV tests on the Island, they can be arranged just three weeks after an application is received.
Data released in the UK this week shows 668,000 learner drivers are currently waiting for a test slot - the highest number on record.
