New 'Walking Through Grief' group launched
People are being encouraged to tackle loneliness during the festive period by joining in with a Walk & Talk group.
The initiative helps people get out the house, get active and socialise with people and sessions will continue over the holiday period.
Walk & Talk has also launched a new initiative called ‘Walking Though Grief’ specifically targeted at those who have lost someone close to them.
It’s a collaboration between Manx Sports and Recreation, Cruse Bereavement and Compassionate Isle of Man.
People will be able to walk alongside ‘Grief Buddies’ who will be non-judgemental and provide the opportunity to speak to someone independent.
