Isle of Man was the first to offer support
The Island's War Pensions Committee marked a significant milestone yesterday as it celebrated its centenary.
Committee members met at Government Buildings where they held a special meeting and were given a speech by Chief Minister Allan Bell.
It came 100 years and one day after the inaugural meeting on 4 August 1916.
