Resources wasted dealing with false alarms
People who intend to have controlled fires at their properties are being urged to notify the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service ahead of time.
The appeal comes after emergency services received calls from concerned members of the public.
Engines were sent to the properties only to find the fires had been planned.
Station officer David Dallimore told Manx Radio they have used a number of resources in the past eight weeks dealing with false alarms:
