People at risk of overdose, hospitalisation and death
Drug users on the Isle of Man are being warned of a substance which is thousands of times stronger than heroin.
Public Health says recent testing of substances seized on the Island has identified the presence of Nitazenes.
If consumed the potent synthetic opioids are more likely to lead to overdose, hospitalisation and death.
The health body is advising people not to mix drugs, never to use substances alone and to carry Naloxone which can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
