
The Isle of Man Constabulary's firearms officer is warning people of the dangers of misusing imitation weapons, following a recent case in which a Douglas man was jailed for brandishing a replica Armalite rifle in Derby Square.
Among other things he pointed it at two officers, who told the court they feared they were going to be shot.
Constable Stuart Barker says anything which even looks like a gun could cause serious problems (audio file attached):
