Residents are being urged to stay vigilant against cold-calling rogue traders.
The Office of Fair Trading says it’s received reports of some 'cowboy builders' circulating on the Isle of Man.
It wants people to be wary of those who turn up unannounced – urging people not to be pressured into unnecessary work and to check business names are registered.
