The Island's incinerator has been shortlisted for one of the waste management industry's most prestigious prizes.
The Energy From Waste plant on Richmond Hill in Braddan is one of three sites named as finalists in the Peel People's Cup.
It's awarded annually by the Chartered Institute of Waste Management.
SITA, which runs the plant for the Department of Infrastructure, says judges have looked at criteria including site supervision, safety, environmental impact and aesthetics.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the nomination shows the plant operates very well, but he would like to see more of the Island's waste recycled:
