DoI chief announces new household waste charging structure
The Infrastructure Minister says changes to the charging structure for household waste will make families better off.
The Waste Management Working Group has agreed to freeze the disposal fees for ratepayers for a further year from next April.
Rising fees were implemented in 2013 to help cover the capital costs of the Energy from Waste plant, but the decision came under fire from local authorities.
