Police warning after messages
Fraudsters claiming to be from Isle of Man Bank have been attempting to scam residents.
A number of individuals have reportedly received suspicious text messages this week, typically advising users they have been the victim of online identity theft.
They are advised to call a bogus telephone number and subsequently asked for personal details.
Police claim more sophisticated scammers are even able to call back disguised as a genuine, trusted phone number.
The constabulary is urging people to trust 'gut instincts', and, as always, to never divulge sensitive information over the phone.
Legitimate companies will never request such information.
