Some using fake Manx phone numbers
Police are urging people to watch out for scammers pretending to be from the likes of Amazon and Isle of Man Bank.
An increase in scam texts, emails and phone calls has been reported during lockdown, with some using fake Manx phone numbers.
If you receive a call of this nature, you're advised to put the phone down and then report it to the police.
Detective Inspector Gav Callow from Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance has this further advice:
To report a scam you can call 686060.
