Supplies reinstated at Farmhill but work ongoing at Ballakillowey
There have been some water supply issues around the Island today (Thu 11)
Properties around Farmhill in Braddan had no water or low pressure throughout last night.
Manx Utilities say engineers worked throughout the night to fix the burst, and supplies were fully re-instated around 8.15 this morning.
However, householders are being warned they could experience discoloured water as supplies are restored and should run the downstairs cold water tap until this clears. This could take some time
Meanwhile, a burst water main in Ballakillowey Estate in the south of the Island is affecting 24 properties there. Bottled water has been distributed and MU say repair work is estimated to take until around 1pm.
There's also a problem affecting a small number of properties in the Jurby area.
