Volunteers with Street Angels on the lookout for TT accommodation

A group of volunteers are visiting from Italy to lend a helping hand this TT.

They'll be joining the ranks of the Street Angels, who keep watch over the Island's key nightlife spots and make sure revellers are enjoying themselves safely.

Born on the Isle of Man, Sue Sheehy, along with her family and friends, will be here from 25 May - and they're on the lookout for suitable accommodation.

With upwards of 40,000 visitors expected, Sue says it's "important that we show all those visitors just how hospitable and lovely the Island is".

Street Angels is led by Tommy Harrison.

Volunteers will be out and about on from around 9pm "just being a friendly face, being approachable, looking out for people who might just need help".

Sue says visitors and revellers "might need information because they come to the island, they don't know their way around.

"They might decide they're walking up to Onchan looking for a bus and they're heading in the wrong direction.

"You know, girls who go out in high heels and they can't manage the whole night, we carry flip flops, we carry bottles of water.

"We liaise with the police, we liaise with medical services so that if anything serious is happening, we contact them and we've got good relationship with them.

"But for the smaller things, it takes the pressure off those services."
