Micky Swindale says an extra 15,000 people could make ends meet
The president of the Chamber of Commerce says the Isle of Man could solve many of its financial worries by allowing more people to live and work here.
Micky Swindale says moves to encourage business with a £50 million assistance scheme and relaxed rules on work permits – approved by Tynwald this week - are just the thing the Island needs.
She says an extra 15,000 economically active people the Isle of Man could make ends meet – and even improve services.
Mrs Swindale says a bigger population could bring massive benefits:
Government engaging with UK over international ferry levy plans
Bottleneck car park shut over safety concerns
Dementia demand assessment underway as Public Health forecasting future need
