Last week Peter Newbery was denied parole for the second time
The family of a teenager who was murdered over 20 years ago on the Isle of Man want to see real remorse from his killer before his release can be considered.
Last week, Peter Newbery was denied parole for the second time, Manx Radio understands.
In 2002 the abattoir worker killed 16-year-olds Samantha Barton and George Green.
George's sister, Shirley Klieve, told Manx Radio the family want Newbery returned to a high security prison in the UK:
Also calling for Newbery to be returned to the UK are the family of Samantha Barton.
Samantha's sister Linzi Barton says that while they are relieved his parole has been denied, they feel he should be moved back to a prison in the UK.
In a statement to Manx Radio, she said: "Why should two families suffer. Every time he wants parole, he has hope, and we have suffering.
"His sentence does not justify the two lives he took. Our broken hearts can never be mended.
"We want him to admit what he's done and show remorse... Sammy was my only sister and these horrendous acts on my sister and George have destroyed many lives."
Manx Radio has approached the Department of Justice and Home Affairs for a statement.
