Support your child's dreams say biker mums
Two mums whose sons both race the Mountain Course say supporting your child’s dream is vital, even if it means your own feelings aside.
Catriona McIntosh Thomson and Jayne Simpson are well known around the paddock as the mums of Grant Thomson and Marcus Simpson.
Grant was the fastest Manx Grand Prix newcomer in 2025, while Marcus has competed at both the MGP and the TT.
The pair admit it can be tough watching their sons race, but say they wouldn’t have it any other way:
