
The agriculture minister says everything will be done to help Manx farmers in the wake of the deep snow and freezing conditions of the last few days.
The full extent of the loss of livestock is not yet known, but is expected to run into the thousands.
Sheep, cows and their young are still being dug out of the snow.
Speaking live on Manx Radio today, Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says it's clear assistance for Manx farmers is absolutely necessary:
