Debris on roads and sailings cancelled
Strong gales continue to affect the Island this morning as Storm Hector brings with it gusts of up to 65mph.
A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office at Ronaldsway which remains in place until 10am this morning (Thursday).
Windward coasts, high ground and northern regions are expected to be worst hit, however the weather warning is for the entire Island.
A tree came down in Glen Maye last night (Wed) but has now been cleared. However, police say branches, leaves and debris litter many roads. Drivers are advised to take extra caution.
Steam Packet sailings have been affected. This morning's sailing of the Manannan to Liverpool has been cancelled, though the 8.45am Ben my Chree sailing to Heysham is still on schedule. Flights appear to be on time.
Anyone travelling is advised to check ahead before setting out.
