Implore customers to 'give us a little time'
The Welbeck Hotel & Restaurant is asking its customers and suppliers to 'be patient' as they have had 'some potential interest' from a possible buyer.
The landmark venue announced yesterday (Sunday 25 October) it would close its doors next month after 48 years run by the George family.
In the statement, the family described the decision as 'incredibly difficult and emotional' and said that all existing bookings up to 23 November 2026 would be honoured.

But in an update this morning (26 October) they confirmed someone is 'thinking of retaining the Welbeck as a hotel' and therefore are asking customers to give them 'a little time before finalising any cancellations'.
Manx Radio has contacted the Welbeck for comment.
