Isle of Man products recognised once again by the Guild of Fine Food
Fifteen food products from the Isle of Man have received Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food.
The annual competition is described as 'robust and complex' with a judging panel of over 500 industry experts judging the product.
Every entry is judged on its own merit as a standalone product and tasted completely blind.
There is no packaging, no hint of who has made it, just a factual description provided by the producer as guidance.
The judges consider flavour first and foremost, then things like appearance, aroma, texture and mouthfeel.
There were 34 Manx products submitted - ten received a one-star award, four received two-star awards, whilst Manx Loaghtan Chorizo from Ballacosnahan Farm won three stars.
