West Douglas goes to the polls today (Thurs) to elect a new MHK.
Four candidates are bidding for the seat made vacant by the elevation of Geoff Corkish to the Legislative Council in March.
They are: Clive Dawson, Quintin Gill, John Skinner and Chris Thomas.
Polling stations are open from 8am until 8pm.
Returning officer Chris Brooks says it's a busy day which requires a team effort.
The polling stations are at the Sea Cadet Hall in Tromode, St Andrew's Church Hall, Trinity Methodist Church Hall on Rosemount and All Saints Church Hall.
