Storm Ciara expected to hit
The Island is set for very wet, windy and wintry weather at the weekend and into next week, thanks to Storm Ciara.
There's a yellow warning in place for gales or severe gales, with the risk of there being some storm force gusts.
Spells of rain are due to be heavy at times over the weekend, followed by wintry showers, with snow on high ground, early next week.
The high winds are expected over the weekend and early next week with a risk of minor structural damage and some travel disruption.
Some coastal overtopping is likely near the time of high tides, especially over the weekend.
According to the Met Office, detailed warnings will be issued nearer the time, when required.
