Postal union members in the Island are meeting on Sunday to discuss 'what next?' in their long-running battle over pay.
The Communication Workers' Union secured a large majority in favour of a walk-out in a secret ballot, if attempts to resolve the dispute end in deadlock.
Post Office Chairman Alan Crowe's welcomed a letter from the union, saying it remains open to further talks. But he says the Post Office won't budge on the public sector pay freeze.
Meanwhile, businesses in the Island have been given reassurances non-union postal workers will maintain normal services, even if there's a strike.
