Committee is now calling for evidence as part of investigation
The chair of a recently-formed committee looking into whistleblowing says it's vital the Island is protected from detrimental damage caused by whistleblowing cases.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge will lead the five-member panel as it investigates how previous recommendations have been implemented, the impact whistleblowing policy has on public sector workers and the use of nondisclosure agreements.
It will also consider the capability of public bodies to address and resolve relevant failures as defined within the Island's employment legislation.
The committee, which also includes Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover, Gary Clueit MLC and the Lord Bishop, is now calling for evidence from anyone who'd like to comment on its remit.
