Chris Packham has written to planning chair over St Marks proposals
TV presenter Chris Packham says he felt he ought to assist Manx residents in raising concerns about plans to fell trees in St Marks.
The wildlife enthusiast has written to the chair of the Isle of Man's planning committee, Martyn Perkins, over approved plans to cut down around 25 elms which have sparked public outrage.
Environment minister Geoffrey Boot is due to speak with the landowner behind the proposals, on Friday, to look at possible alternatives.
