The chief minister says it remains to be seen whether changing the month the general election is held will have any impact on voter turnout.
Tony Brown says compared to other jurisdictions, the Isle of Man usually has a high percentage of people at the polls, with some constituencies achieving figures of more than 70 per cent.
The 2011 general election will be held on Thursday, September 29, two months earlier than usual.
It's hoped the warmer weather and lighter evening will encourage more voters, but Mr Brown believes other factors will have more of an influence:

Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
