HMRC boss says tax dodging will be investigated
British tax authorities have warned they may be seeking prosecutions in the wake of the Paradise Papers.
Data from the leak has prompted allegations of tax avoidance in offshores by hundreds of companies and individuals - but questions remain over whether any of the practices in question are actually illegal.
A number of individuals were formally investigated after the release of the Panama Papers last year, but it's not thought any direct convictions resulted in the UK.
HM Revenue & Customs Chief Executive, John Thompson, told the UK's Public Accounts Committee it would exercise all its powers to investigate tax dodging in the Crown Dependencies:

Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
