Rider sustained injuries in accident during practice
Northern Irish road racer William Dunlop has died following a crash at the Skerries 100 road races.
The news was confirmed by the Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club this evening.
The Ballymoney rider sustained injuries in an accident during practice for the event in Ireland earlier today (7 July).
The club has extended its 'heartfelt sympathy' to William's family and friends, adding the club's 'thoughts and prayers are with them at this very sad time'.
A member of the most successful family of racers in the history of the Isle of Man TT Races, he withdrew from this year's event.
