Geophysicist believes current renewable energy plans won't give enough energy security
Wind and solar power won't give the Isle of Man the energy security it needs and focussing on these options is a 'huge mistake'.
That's from Island-based geophysicist Graham Fox-Hulme who believes geothermal energy could be a better option for the Island.
Manx Utilities is currently assessing two sites for an onshore wind farm and will be installing solar panels at the NSC, Noble's Hospital and Sea Terminal.
But Mr Fox-Hulme doesn't think this will be enough to meet the Island's energy needs:
